Manage, configure, deploy and troubleshooting various internal technologies.
Performing various application upgrades.
Will work with application teams to recommend and configure optimal TCP settings, persistence, and load balancing methods.
An understanding of GTM and LTM deployments of WideIPs, VIPs, and Pools will help this contractor be successful in this role.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Application Delivery experience using F5 BigIP products:
Experience managing, configuring, deploying and troubleshooting F5 GTM and LTM infrastructure and iRules.
HTTP protocol - using HTTP analysis tools (HTTPWatch, Fiddler, browser developer's tools, or similar) to diagnose application, proxy, browser and caching behavior.
Experience with Wireshark, tcpdump preferred.
Experience with Infoblox DNS appliances and NiOS software, along with DNS and DHCP fundamentals
Understands application deployment models and terminology, webserver (IIS/Apache or similar) basics, including terminology and basic configuration.
Network Analysis - Ability to use network traces to analyze and diagnose application and network problems and behavior. Includes expertise in TCP, HTTP, DNS, DHCP.
Experience using scripting languages, Python preferred
Experience managing corporate DNS infrastructure utilizing Infoblox NiOS software, or similar.
Understanding of SSL/TLS protocol, use of certificates, certificate fields and authority paths.

Strong understanding of Layers 4-7 of the OSI model.
Understands Layer 2-3 networking principles required to enable load balancing including routing, interface, VLANs, and media types.
Basic of knowledge of Splunk.
Analyzes requirements for software programs or application enhancements
Writes or modifies code for complex software programs, components or applications
Performs development testing and audits results
Supports and maintains software programs, components or applications in a production environment
Creates and maintains documentation
Promotes understanding of specific technologies and tools, including newly emerging concepts
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Education and/or experiences listed below are the minimum requirements for job entry.
Associate's Degree or higher in an Information Technology discipline, Math or other related field of study and minimum of four years working with operating system hardware and/or software components in a large IT environment with many categories of devices, infrastructures and operating systems.
In lieu of a degree, a minimum of six years related experience working with operating system hardware and/or software components in a large IT environment with many categories of devices, infrastructures and operating systems may be accepted.
