Middle Bass Island Yacht Club (MBIYC) is currently accepting applications for a Dock Master/Club Manager Trainee for the 2019 boating season. The goal is to have this position transition into the Dock Master/Club Manager position, upon the retirement of the current Dock Master/Club Manager. The applicant should have: an outgoing personality; minimum of three years of experience in a marina type environment; and enjoy being around people, boats and the water.

The Dock Master/Club Manager Trainee position will work approximately 24 hours per week, primarily on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, for 15 weeks. The position will start the last week in June 2019 and run through Club Closing (scheduled the first week of October 2019). This position will assist and train with the current Dock Master/Club Manager on all tasks associated with dockage and management of the club facilities.

At the end of the 2019 boating season, if mutually agreed upon by both parties, the applicant will enter into a contract with MBIYC to become the Dock Master/Club Manager. The Dock Master/Club Manager position typically requires an average of 38 hours per week to ensure the safe management of the MBIYC docks, clubhouse facility and grounds. However, there may be circumstances that may require work outside of these parameters, including additional hours. The seasonal duration is approximately late April through mid- October. MBIYC will seek to employ additional part-time seasonal dockhands.
