Ohio Truck Sales is seeking a full time Service Manger to oversee the operations of the Mechanical Repair department within its dealership. Candidate must have good management skills, the ability to direct people and the ability to implement safety training and policies withing the shop environment.
BASIC FUNCTION
The Service Managers purpose is to manage and coordinate the quantity, quality and flow within the Service Department. Basic duties include managing a truck production schedule, Diesel Technicians, work orders, truck project costing and staffing budgets. This person must have prior Service Manager or heavy duty truck experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
-Communicating weekly with Controller to monitor budgets and operations
-Managing weekly production schedule
-Oversee and manage key truck refurbishing processes
-Enforcing company policies and procedures
-Staff Management / Accountability
-Staff Scheduling
-Safety Implementation and training
-5s Manufacturing Practices
-Diesel mechanic time management and tracking
-Training and managing employee usage of ERP System
-Oversee the Parts Purchasing budget and Management
-Training of SOP's
-Time management and tracking on each truck
-Ensuring and managing employee usage of Parts Costing Software
Qualifications
-Experience with ERP Software
-Leadership and management skills
-Time management skills
-Quick and active thinker to come up with remedies and solutions to problems
-Previous work history or experience as a Service Manger
-Mechanical truck knowledge
Compensation
-$85,000 to $105,000 per year
