Job Description
Bring your strong IT application and data skills to a stable and growing industrial business. We are a wholesale distributor of bearings and power transmission equipment. We also manufacture, modify, and repair bearings. Bearings are in everything that moves. You may not know much about bearings, but we do, and we need a strong IT person to job our team.

As the IT Applications Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and implementation of information systems across two businesses and four physical addresses.
You will be taking ownership of the technology footprint that includes software applications, infrastructure, and support systems to meet the current demands of the business, This position will provide technical expertise to solve immediate issues as well as develop a game plan to promote business continuity, scalability, and security at all our warehouse locations. This position will report to the Operations Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • This hands-on position requires an organized individual to support 100+ users both on-site and remote.
  • Work with IT Managed Service Provider in providing desktop, server, network and telephone support.
  • Data, proven ability to pull data and work with businesses to improve the quality of data across applications with multiple data types including SQL, Excel, Access and others.
  • Manufacturing, ERP, CRM, Warehouse systems, and integrated systems including time tracking, CAD/CAM, and shop floor job control.
  • Work with our marketing provider as CRM and digital marketing solutions are developed and deployed.
  • Manage the information technology and computer systems to ensure all warehouse, manufacturing and IT operations are up to date and working as expected.
  • Work closely with the business leadership and our technology partners to design and implement IT systems that will improve the customers experience and employee efficiency.
  • Work collaboratively with technology vendors and business partners.
  • Establish and maintain documentation and knowledge sharing to enable cross-training.
  • Recommend and deliver IT solutions with streamlined processes, implement automation when possible, and improve ease of use for our users.
  • Arrange and conduct user training for new services and software.

Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience supporting the IT needs of a warehouse and manufacturing operation- ERP / WMS / CRM etc. in the Small-Medium Business (SMB) market.
  • Experience in collaborating with external partners and vendors.
  • Strong experience with a Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) for inventory management and customer order fulfillment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS or proven, demonstrated experience.

Physical Requirements:
  • A mix of sedentary and standing work.
  • Maintain desktop systems, including printing, scanning, monitors and other peripheral devices.
  • Regular use of mobile devices, including smartphones, and tablets.
  • Maintain and relocate equipment including PCs, servers, printers and other IT equipment as required.

Details of the Position:
  • Position based out of Strongsville, OH fulfillment center.
  • Ability to be on call 24/7 one week out of the month, based on rotation.
