Licensed Child Care Center in search of skilled Toddler Teacher who is energetic, dependable, and positive, with a passion for children to provide high-level educational quality childcare.
Must be able to:
Have fun with children providing purposeful play. Ensure the daily care of every child by following all licensing guidelines and implementing all company standards.
Adhere to all safety and sanitary rules set forth by the health department as well as state licensing rules and regulations.
Maintain and follow Step up to Quality guidelines. Implement lesson plans in a way that is consistent with the unique needs of each child. Partner with parents with a shared desire to provide the best care and education for their children. Maintain a fun and interactive classroom that is clean and organized. Must be able to take initiative and be driven to help each child succeed to do his or her personal best.
Be a team player, create lesson plans, and maintain children's portfolios.
JOB FUNCTIONS
Participates in the planning and implementation of a play-based curriculum.
Responsible for actively participating in activities and meetings.
Responsible for informing parents of any specific needs or concerns regarding the students.
Interact with co-workers, administration, students, parents, and the community in professional, supportive, and cooperative ways.
Serves as a positive role model.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Must be able to stand on your feet 90% of the day, capable of lifting 40 pounds. Be able to sit on the floor and crouch down, and perform all activities with the children including running, jumping, etc.
Prefer at least 12 months working with young children
Must pass an FBI/BCI background check
First Aid, CPR, Child Abuse, Communicable Disease must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
