Job DescriptionLooking for a cnc mill machinist. Will be machining using a vmc (vertical machining center)
Candidates will perform their own set ups and operating on the machines
In this role they will be machining large blocks, weldments and plate work
Machine has 4 axis; 1 is a spindle
Reading of blueprints or prints to machine parts
Drilling and tapping holes
Change tooling
Perform quality checks on parts using micrometers, calipers, gauges and visual inspection
Basic computer use to track progress of parts
3-D machining
Will set up and operate own machine
Additional Skills & Qualifications:MUST have 2-5yrs of exp.
MUST HAVE some sort of programming experience. Mastercam is highly preferred but if they use a different program (Fusion 360, Gibbscam, etc)
Must Have Experience setting up and operating cnc mill machines. Will be using VMC (vertical machining centers)
MUST BE ABLE TO PERFORM CHANGE OVERS ON THE MACHINES
MUST KNOW TO CHANGE OUT TOOLING, ADJUST SPEEDS AND FEEDS AND MAKE ADJUSTMENTS TO THE

Work Environment:This company is a job shop that machines parts typically for large dies. Currently 50% of their business is automotive, while the other 50% comes from various industries.
1st shift Mon - Fri 6a to 2:30p (they can be flexible on hours and start times)
Averaging 50-55hrs a week. This will not last forever but very busy for the foreseeable future.
