Machine Shop General Laborer

RAMM Fence Systems, Inc. has an opening for a Machine Shop General laborer. RAMM General Laborer will perform a variety of functions in a busy fabrication shop environment. This position sets up and operates fabrication machines including cold cut saw, band saw, drill press, ironworker, vertical end mill, lathe, shape, drill, form, and bend metal into specified dimensions and angles. This is not a welder position, but welding experience is a plus. RAMM employees work Monday-Friday, 6:00am-2:30pm From when the summer heat begins until Labor Day. We work 7am- 3:30 after Labor Day until the summer heat begins. This position reports directly to the Lead Welder.
The position will be lifting, turning, and leaning over and handling pieces and parts that may be up to 50lbs. on a daily basis.
Responsibilities/Requirements:
1. Read job order and/or blueprints for specification such as material, type, size of stock, and dimension to be cut.
2. Obtain and transfer stock to machine, operating a forklift when necessary.
3. Start machines and observe operation
4. Must have good attention to detail.
5. Six months or more related experience
6. Read a tape measure, including but not limited to height gauges, calipers, and micrometers.
7. Experience in using various small and pneumatic hand tools.
8. Lift up to 50lbs. anything over 50lbs, there will be assistance.
9. Be able to have the stamina and ability to be on your feet for 8-hour shifts.
10. MUST HAVE DEPENDABLE/RELIABLE MEANS OF TRANSPORTATION AND COMMUNICATION.

12. Hourly pay, annual range of $35,360-$41,600 based on experience, positive attitude and attendance
