Performing a variety of line assembly operations to assemble and/or package garage door components.
Assembling garage doors using various hand tools, power tools, and operating equipment, in accordance with standard operating procedures.
Getting sections done by shift, flag, and stop.
Applying appropriate identifying labels to doors and/or boxes, where required.
Visually inspecting parts for defects; replace parts that don’t meet quality specifications.
Monitoring supply of production materials available at work station; reorder as needed.
Maintaining accurate and neat daily production reports.
Performing minor maintenance on machines.
Keeping area and equipment clean and well maintained.
Working in a safe, organized manner reporting unsafe conditions to appropriate personnel immediately.
Adhering to all safety training, policies, and procedures.
Assisting in training of new employees.
Assisting with quarterly inventory.
Other duties as assigned.
REM-03 WS-03 Shift start: 3:00PM or 11:00PM
Shift length: 8 hours
3pm – 11pm; 11pm – 7am
Ability to read and write a limited number of words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and series of numbers.
Ability to count and perform simple math operations to determine information such as weight, temperature, and quantity.
Must be able to perform LOTO.
Ability to meet production and quality standards.
Ability to work harmoniously and effectively as part of a work team.
6 months to 1 year of previous related experience and/or training.
Must be able to stand on your feet throughout the shifts.
May be required to stand, walk, grasp, reach with hands and arms, stoop, twist, pull and push continuously.
Frequently required to work in hot and/or humid conditions.
