Mako's Market and Pharmacy is in search of a part-time Meat Cutter or Meat Clerk. Will train.
Performs work in all areas of the Meat Department at the direction of the manager. Cuts, wraps, and prepares meat items; prepares customer orders; performs suggestive selling; dates, weights, and packages product; assists customers with order selection; communicates with vendors and customers; logs spoilage and waste; maintains product freshness; maintains a safe and clean work environment; unloads product from trucks; stages stock in the backroom, cooler, and freezer; stocks products on racks and shelves up to six feet high; operates slicers, saws, mechanical price marking devices, knives, case cutters and stock dollies; and performs other duties as assigned.
Required:
⢠Previous experience as a meat cutter
⢠Ability to work up to eight hours per day
⢠Ability to read, write, add, subtract, and multiply
⢠Ability to lift up to 80 pounds
⢠Ability to reach and stock items up to six feet high
⢠Ability to follow verbal and written instructions, including recipes
⢠Ability to operate stock dollies, saws, stuffers, slicers, scales, pricing devices and knives
⢠Ability to pull or push wheeled vehicles weighting up to 500 pounds
⢠Ability to communicate clearly with customers and vendors
⢠Positive attitude and experience providing a high level of customer service.
