Datum Software, Inc. Government Solutions (GS) is seeking a qualified Senior Ad Hoc/REMIS Analyst candidate to support the U.S. Air Force (USAF) by designing and developing custom queries and reports in BI tools. The successful candidate will also manipulate data structures, create complex calculated fields, and pull multiple data sets together into a meaningful and useful report output. The software tools used for this project consist of Business Objects, MS Access, MS Query, and SQL (Oracle and Teradata).
PRIMARY DUTY RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide business intelligence support to the Air Force community. Provide Ad hoc query and customized reporting capabilities through Business Intelligence (BI) tools. Manage and create the various data requests received. Assist users in creating their own reports using various BI query and reporting tools. Assist customers in using the Reliability and Maintainability Information System (REMIS) Ad Hoc application to create ad hoc reports for the following functional areas: inventory, status, utilization, configuration, time change, maintenance, debrief, and communications-electronics. Assist the REMIS Program Management Office with REMIS table definitions and table relationships when working to build new interfaces with new interfacing partners. Participate and support REMIS PMO technical interchange meetings as required.
REQUIRED QUALITIES:
Familiarity with one or more of these Business Intelligence tools (BOBJ or WebFOCUS)
Working Knowledge of SQL preferably Oracle or Teradata
Working knowledge of 3rd party BI Tools Microsoft ACCESS and EXCEL
Experience in working with customers in gathering reporting requirements to create Ad Hoc queries
Demonstrated ability to work independently with diverse teams of functional and technical staff
Associates Degree (Other education, commensurate experience and demonstrated ability may be substituted).
HIGHLY DESIRED QUALITIES:
Logistics Maintenance background
Air Force Logistics maintenance systems experience, especially REMIS or IMDS
REMIS or IMDS table relationship knowledge
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT:
A minimum current National Agency Check with Local Agency Check and Credit Check (NACLC) or ability to obtain a NACLC that will be initiated by the USAF.
WORK LOCATION:
Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (WPAFB), Fairborn Ohio. Current work is via teleworking, but plans are in place to eventually relocate to the Government facility.
