Datum Software, Inc. Government Solutions (GS) is seeking a qualified candidate for a Senior Business Systems Analyst opportunity to provide Subject Matter Expertise (SME) support on the USAF’s Reliability and Maintainability Information System (REMIS) in a Program Management Office (PMO) setting.

JOB SUMMARY: Perform duties as the REMIS “Core” Lead Functional for the REMIS PMO. The “Core” is the underlying REMIS subsystem that other REMIS subsystems use for processing. Plan, organize, and control workload of the Core subsystem. Evaluate proposed system changes and corrective actions. Make recommendations that include the impact of proposed changes to REMIS software and hardware configuration, and potential effects to policy and procedures. Evaluate formal change documents. Work closely with the REMIS PMO, the external customer, and the development contractor to define issues, new requirements, investigate functional solutions, evaluate alternatives, and implement new capabilities.


PRIMARY DUTY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Candidate will eventually serve as local lead for REMIS Core processing programs.
    • Plan, organize, and control workload of the REMIS Core subsystem.
    • Provide expertise for user associated problems that are reported to REMIS.
    • Provide end-user training on REMIS Core subsystem applications and functionality.
    • Assist customers in the interpretation and implementation of specific processing or data rules applicable to the Core tables and processes.
  • Counsel to AF maintenance policy managers regarding Standard Reporting Designators (SRDs), Work Unit Codes (WUCs), and general maintenance documentation practices; to include updating policies for WUC and SRD management, T.O. 00-20-2, Maintenance Data Documentation, and other Air Force and DoD instructions.
  • Review design documents and Change Requests for accuracy and validity to ensure quality software development meets customer requirements.
  • Conduct REMIS functional testing and perform verification of developer executed testing to ensure changes were made correctly.
  • Research, create, and monitor Deficiency Reports to correct issues identified by users, SMEs, or developer.
  • Provide support for the integration of other systems interfacing with REMIS.
  • Use SQL to assist in the query and use of database information to ascertain if there are software problems internal to REMIS or introduced by any interfacing partner.

Candidate must have:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Minimum total of three years of functional experience with USAF Reliability and Maintainability Information System (REMIS), Integrated Maintenance Data System (IMDS), Core Automated Maintenance System – For Mobility (CAMS-FM) G081, or comparable programs.
  • Strong knowledge of Standard Reporting Designator (SRD), Work Unit Code (WUC) management, and maintenance documentation processes.
  • Associates Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Efficient skills in MS Power Point, MS Word, MS Excel, and utilization of SharePoint.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT:
  • A minimum current National Agency Check with Local Agency Check and Credit Check (NACLC) or ability to obtain a NACLC that will be initiated by the USAF.
  • Some travel required, and other duties as assigned


WORK LOCATION:
  • Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (WPAFB), Fairborn Ohio. Current work is via teleworking, but plans are in place to eventually relocate to an offsite contracted Government facility.
