Req ID: FOO00998DescriptionThis position physically carries out as well as helps direct the activities of those involved in providing a wide variety of cleaning services and other related duties required to keep the First Americans Museum (FAM) facility in a clean and orderly condition. Employee supervision is required.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesLead janitors and all janitorial employees.

Directs and guides assigned janitorial employees.

Necessary computer skills with email, Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Suites, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsible for assisting the Facilities Director with custodial staff scheduling.

Notifies the Facilities Director of any schedule changes.

Train new staff and provides ongoing training to existing staff.

Oversees custodial material and supply inventory and ordering process.

Regularly conducts, replaces, and disperses assigned material inventories and supplies.

Performs custodial equipment maintenance, inventory, and ordering.

Coordinates associated equipment care, repair, and maintenance.

Coordinate and fill in when there are custodial employee vacancies.

This position will respond to custodial emergencies.

Performs all duties required of a custodian or other assigned employee.

Is accountable for meeting all of the obligations required of assigned employees.

Collects all checklists and keeps accurate records of work performed.

Regularly conducts inspections to maintain the quality of provided services.

Helps conduct safety meetings and ensures daily operations follow company and client safety requirements.

Makes sure all quality standards and work procedures for staff are met.

Resolves minor maintenance or client emergencies as they occur or takes steps to permanently address them.

Assist employees in the resolution of work-related difficulties.

Identifies, resolves, or appropriately reports the site's safety hazards.

Assists in having available all required HazCom documentation.

Have a thorough knowledge of emergency procedures.

Adhere to all work rules, procedures, and policies established by the company, including, but not limited to, those contained in the associate handbook.

Other duties that are pertinent to the department or unit's success also may be assigned.

QualificationsMinimum RequirementsHigh school diploma or GED equivalent.

At least three (3) years of directly related experience that demonstrates knowledge of custodial or janitorial duties and supervision of employees.

Basic computer skills with email, Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Suites, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

The ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, callouts, etc.

Must be fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English.

A valid Driver's License and an acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years to be eligible under NMS' vehicle insurance policy.
