Desktop Support Technician
GDH has partner with an enterprise company looking for a Desktop Support Technician in Oklahoma City.
JOB SUMMARY
This position will have a heavy focus on desktop support work and involvement in the OKC Imaging Lab initiatives. This will involve working in a group environment to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve customer issues. Build, configure, and ship laptops and desktops to internal customers. Host/Participate in meetings and engage various groups across all pillars to identify and test imaging solutions, issues encountered, and general desktop or laptop configuration. Work directly with business customers to plan, support, and provide event assistance. Install, troubleshoot, and repair personal computer systems and other peripherals; provides technical support for client operating systems. Participates in resolution of Service Desk problem tickets and coordinates warranty work with vendors on all supported systems; maintains knowledge of networking technology and protocols.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
This position will focus on desktop support work and involvement in the OKC Imaging Lab initiatives. Work includes building and configuring Dell and Lenovo laptops and desktops with Microsoft Windows 10, Outlook 365, all Office products, and various stand-alone applications, such as SAP, Quick 32, Altiris, and many others. This will involve working in a group environment to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve customer issues. Build, configure, and ship laptops and desktops to internal customers utilizing Symantec imaging and patching products. End-User configurations will also be required; Host/Participate in meetings and engage various groups across all pillars to identify and test imaging solutions, issues encountered, and available desktop or laptop configuration. Work directly with business customers to plan, support, and provide event assistance. Install, troubleshoot, and repair personal computer systems and other peripherals; provides technical support for client operating systems (Windows 10). Participates in resolving Service Desk problem tickets and coordinating warranty work with vendors on all supported systems; maintains networking technology and protocols knowledge.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
5 + years in Deskside support, building and configuring Windows units for internal customers. A+ and hardware troubleshooting skills are preferred.
