As an engineer of a Cloud Automation Santa Clara team, you will be responsible for streamlining and automating all key operations required for end-to-end service delivery for our customers including solution building, testing automation, and also building continuous delivery pipeline to production. You will work closely with Cloud Development teams and the entire Cloud Automation team to ensure automation design is aligned with product features and daily customer scenarios.What You’ll Do:·Act as active member for developing, integrating, monitoring and maintaining automation tests & ensuring high quality in feature delivery.·Developing, improving & maintaining CI & CD pipelines to ensure solution can be delivered frequently, consistently, and reliably to staging and production environments.·Design and Developextensive scripts to automate and integrate Cloud provisioning of Linux services in all aspects including Directory Services, Kerberos/LDAP, virtual networking and storage·Develop high quality assurance automation code for features, bug fixes and hotfixes according to Veritas’s guidelines.·Actively contribute to the team’s test automation strategy and coverage based on software quality assurance best practices.·Actively contribute to replacing manual testing with test automation based on test principles.·Act as active member for executing automation activities according to Veritas Technologies processes.·Act as active team member to demonstrate good competency on quality assurance related technologies, Veritas’s products, delivery process and team members interaction.·Demonstrate good understanding for various components to bridge the gap between business and technical aspects.·Actively demonstrate software quality assurance best practices throughout product development and maintenance.·You will contribute to the formulation and maintenance of an enterprise-wide baseline of operating systems and software for the implementation, operation, and maintenance of a platform-as-a-service for an in-cloud/hybrid cloud compute model·Play an active role in clarifying user stories, acceptance criteria and task break down that can deliver business value within one iteration.·Maintain close collaboration and effective communication with Development Manager, Functional Specialists, Product Owner, team members and other stakeholders.·On-going support for our log aggregation service, workflow automations, and configuration servicesWhat You Need to Succeed or QualificationExperience in Python, Java, Go, C, C, System Programing and PowerShell/Bash scripting
Experience in test automation
Experience with formal Source code System (Bitbucket preferred) and best practices with code reviews
Experience in DevOps pipelines, CI/CD tools, such as Jenkins, Strongly desired
Good Knowledge of Java script and UI Web Technologies.
Automate workflows utilizing Robot Framework and Phyton
Experience in Containerization and Microservices technologies
4+ years of proven track record in Azure and/or AWS Cloud Technologies
10+ years of experience in software or product testing
Strong knowledge of testing methodology
Rest API/JSON/XML
Additional Skills That Could Set You Apart:Knowledge / experience in Infrastructure automation frameworks like Terraform, Ansible, etc.
Knowledge in Storage, Backup software (Preferably NetBackup) , Disaster recovery, Security etc.
Knowledge / experience in Kubernetes
Knowledge / experience in monitoring technologies
Computer science, math or engineering degree
