Areas of expertise include acquisition; systems engineering and integration (SE&I); AI/big data applications; operational cyber; research, development, test and, evaluation (RDT&E); Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR); and sustainment engineering. Job Summary: KBR's Defense Systems Engineering Business Unit is seeking a Property Specialist - Property Contract Closeouts to join our team. The Property Specialist coordinates property control activities to ensure continual accountability of government/customer owned property as described in Property Plan and prescribed in Federal Acquisition Regulations. Central Point of Contact for all Government Closeout Documentation in company. Maintains accurate property records in central repository and utilizes appropriate databases to review audit trail for all Government contracts and subcontracts with Government property. Maintains property accountability records in supported database systems. Completes data entry and other postings timely. Arranges disposal of surplus or obsolete property through the PIEE system for final disposition. Prepares shipping documentation and tracks US Government-owned property to destination. Coordinates completion of required documents and complete system transactions. Supports internal and external assessments, utilizing developed metrics, and provides data as needed. Maintains and tracks property documentation and property reports. Verifies the integrity of system records for populated information. Performs all other duties as assigned.Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities:
Works as a member of a team; Communicates effectively, assists team to complete daily task requirements to achieve overall goals; Works with program and business teams in a professional manner to get all work completed.
Maintains appropriate documentation; follows KBR procedures to ensure compliance to internal policies and contractual requirements.
Collaborates with various departments to manage efficient flow of all materials; Coordinates with company personnel to ensure accountability for all assigned equipment.
Reviews and assists with cradle to grave data entry of all material records; Compiles and maintains manual or computerized records, such as material inventory, supporting documentation, and status and location of materials.
Maintains historical files; Maintains complete and accurate property and accounting records managing full lifecycle support of all Government property.
Provides reports on material stockage levels, historical usage and shipment information.
Performs packing and shipping functions and generates supporting shipping documentation.
Performs inventory transactions to receive, transfer or issue material in a timely fashion to assure expedited put away.
Investigates inventory discrepancies and reports to appropriate responsible person for correction.
Verifies all paperwork is completed in a timely and accurate manner.
Completes other tasks as directed by Supervisor.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. In lieu of a degree, 4 years of relevant experience will be considered.
Certification in property management or government asset management (e.g., NPMA certifications like CPPA, CPPM, or CPPS) is preferred.
Minimum of (2) two years in property or asset management.
Experience working with government contracts and federal property regulations (e.g., FAR, DFARS).
Familiarity with inventory management systems and asset tracking software. (e.g., Cost Point, eQuip, A2B)
Ability to obtain a Secret clearance. A successful candidate will be subject to a government background investigation.
