CNA/Home Health Care Aide (NW Oklahoma City)

Quadriplegic woman needs either one aide for four night shifts or two aides to work two night shifts each (they can alternate/trade shifts possibly) from Thursday through Sunday, 6:30 pm to 2:00 - 2:30 am. Note: the client has two cats.

RELIABILITY is the main requirement, followed by PATIENCE, common sense, a good attitude, and punctuality. If your personal life, family requirements, and/or health affect your ability to be on the job when scheduled, this is NOT the job for you. The client needs employees who will be at work when they are scheduled.
The job starts at $11.00 per hour, with raises based on merit/ performance. We prefer you live in the NW OKC area so that travel to/from work is not an issue. Experience is preferred, but not required. Smokers okay, but you have to do it outside.
Tasks include:
-INTENSIVE personal care that is very detailed and requires you to be very patient
-Assisting the client with TV programs and music--a lot
-Cooking dinner for and feeding the client (you may eat with her, if you want)
-Washing and drying the dinner dishes
-Drying and folding the client's laundry (bath linens, mainly)
-Scooping out the litter boxes and making sure cats have clean
water and dry food.
You need to be fairly strong for this job, and having some height helps so you have leverage in moving her around on her bed (which is slick and adjustable in height).
