We are an Aquarium & Water Gardening Store in need of hardworking, reliable individuals for full time positions who possess experience in sales. The ideal candidate will have had significant experience in sales and be passionate about what we do. We are looking for passion! We will train you on the rest.
It's a great work environment that allows you variety throughout your day. A normal day at Garden Ponds & Aquariums Unlimited might involve selling custom built waterfalls to a customer, selling Japanese Koi fish, feeding fish, planting flowers, cleaning aquariums, talking to customers about their beautiful ponds, helping a customer solve a water clarity issue, selling unique coral to a saltwater aquarium customer, oh and having an overall good time. We have fun at work, but we work hard. It's a unique career and every day is so different that you just don't mind getting out of bed to go to work.
Benefits for full time positions include Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Vacation, Paid Holidays, 401K and Sales Bonuses. Our store hours are Monday through Saturday from 9:00 am to 6:00pm. We are closed on Sunday and all employees have at least two week days off. Individual hours vary within our operating times but employees only have a FOUR day work week. Pretty cool isn't it? All applicants must be able to work Saturdays without fail. We are closed most major holidays and closed the week between Christmas Eve and New Year's Day. Imagine that, a full time position that only requires a 4 day work week, you're off every day by 6:00 pm, never work a Sunday and the only holiday you will ever work is Memorial Day.
We've been at our current location for 19 years. We are one of the leading pond builders in the metro area as well as the top pond retailer in OKC. We have ranked in the top 20 of professional pond builders & retailers in the entire United States for the past several years. In 2017 we ranked #12 and #9 in 2018. Qualified applicants must possess:
Minimum of 2 years consecutive employment with the same employer.
Minimum of 5 years sales experience.
Verifiable employment history.
Good people skills
Be out-going
Able to lift 50lbs
Possess good phone skills
Willing to handle fish
Willing to get your hands dirty
Able to work every Saturday without exception
Enjoy aquariums and fish
Enjoy plants and/or gardening
Valid Driver License
Able to pass background check
Able to pass drug screening
Able to hustle, we work at fast pace
Able to tolerate working outdoors some in the summer months.
