Best Price Auto Salvage is growing FAST and we're looking for full-time auto dismantlers/parts pullers.

Position: Full-time Auto Dismantler / Parts Puller

Schedule: MON-FRI, 9:00AM-5:30PM

Responsibilities:

To remove all parts from cars quickly and without damage

To ensure safe work practice and maintain a safe environment

Requirements:

Automotive experience is required. We can provide on the job training, but common knowledge and experience is needed.

Must have basic hand tools. (Hand tools can be provided at the cost of employee.)

Must be able to move fast and multi-task

Must apply in person and take a skills test as part of the application process.

Be at least 18 years of age

Compensation:

Pay is commission based. Employee will earn $125-$175 for each car that is dismantled. See dismantle procedure below.

$400.00 sign-on bonus after 90 days of employment.

Job Duties - Dismantling Procedure:

1. Put the car on the lift and check all fluids.

2. Begin to start and test car and all of its functions. Push every button, and test every single feature. Record all non-functioning items.

3. Remove any trash and non-auto part items from the vehicle.

4. Unbolt any electric seats and remove the master window switch. Remove the striker from the trunk so it may not lock. Check the fuel pump under the seat and evacuate the fuel.

5. Remove radio and screens if deemed valuable.

6. Spray WD-40 on all suspension nuts and bolts.

7. Remove fuel tank and pump. Evacuate any fuel to storage container.

8. Remove wheels, and loosen all front and rear suspension bolts.

9. Evacuate anti-freeze and freon. DO NOT DRAIN OIL FROM ENGINE OR TRANSMISSION IF THESE PARTS ARE IN THE PROPER WORKING ORDER. Only drain when engine/transmission are bad and going to cores.

10. Remove engine and transmission as required. Separate all parts and place on the shelf. Each item will receive an inventory tag. Add heat tabs.

11. Secure all remaining parts that do not need to be removed. Parts must be secured back in their original

location (i.e. secure the radiator bottle with wire under the hood and not in the trunk).

12. Remove the back glass, and quarter glass as requested. Leave on the car and secure with white crash tape.

13. Loosen any other remaining nuts and bolts that would save time on pulling the part in the future.

14. Once car is complete, install wheels to assist in removing the car from the bay with forklift. Before parking car in the yard, remove wheels.
