Our Platform Laboratory Systems & Design (PLSD) program is seeking a Computer Systems Analyst / Principal Computer Systems to join their diverse team in Oklahoma City, OK. The PLSD defines engineering capabilities for the B-2 Avionics Labs and drives advances in various computing technologies. Our team is chartered with providing the skills to design, produce and sustain avionics test equipment to provide a decisive advantage to the warfighter. You will have the opportunity to perform assessments of systems and networks within the networking environment and identify where those systems and networks deviate from acceptable configurations, enclave policy, or local policy. In addition, s/he will establish program control processes to ensure mitigation of risks. Come be a part of our mission! Responsibilities include:
  • Systems administration of multiple server and desktop operating systems; Windows, HyperV, RHEL, Unix, ESXi, and legacy mainframe OS; to include installation, configuration, and audit analysis
  • Support bare-metal and virtual machines; mass data storage environments; complex integration of avionics equipment; and avionics network equipment to include network performance tuning, packet and protocol analysis, troubleshooting and maintenance; coordinate NTP setups for separate networks
  • Hardware troubleshooting, configuration, and support; software installations and support; software license management
  • Investigate systems and applications issues; determine appropriate course of action to provide, improve or restore systems' functionality; recommend procurement of hardware and/or software solutions when necessary
  • Analyze, install, and test for both new and existing systems
  • Apply systems and applications hardening configurations and patching in conformance with JSIG and NIST
  • Develop requirements, workflow and systems analysis in order to meet customer's functional specifications
  • Correct errors, prepare operating instructions and analyze system capabilities
  • Design prototypical systems based on customer and lab requirements

Qualifications:

This position may be hired as a Computer Systems Analyst or Principal Computer Systems:
  • The Computer Systems Analyst requires either a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience or a Master's degree and 0 years experience or an additional 4 years of direct relevant experience may be considered in lieu of the degree requirements
  • The Principal Computer Systems Analyst requires either a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or a Master's degree with 1 years experience or an additional 4 years of direct relevant experience may be considered in lieu of the degree requirements
  • Working knowledge of Windows, RHEL, Unix, or other enterprise operating systems; working knowledge of virtual operating systems such as HyperV or ESXi
  • Understanding of application and OS security, virus scanning, and patching
  • Demonstrate a high level understanding of RAID systems and server hardware
  • Ability to obtain a DoD 8570 Certification ( CompTIA Security+, CISSP) within 3 months of start
  • Ability to obtain/maintain required special access clearances and to obtain/maintain access to work on Tinker AFB
  • Must be a and able to obtain/maintain a Secret clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Current DoD Secret (or higher) clearance
  • RHEL and/or windows server certifications
  • Expertise with networking concepts and experience with setting up and troubleshooting Extreme and Cisco networking equipment - TCPIP concepts and configurations; fiber and copper cabling; switch config and mgmt
  • Experience with virtualized environments, VMWare products, deployment and administration
  • Experience operating under and managing systems within RMF, STIG, or JSIG information system environments
