To learn more about Berry, visit berryglobal.comPURPOSE:This individual holding this position performs Human Resource Generalist responsibilities at Berry Global located in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The individual is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and working closely with management in supporting the facility. The Human Resource Generalist carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: employee relations, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment, affirmative action, employment law compliance, payroll, salary administration, and benefits.RESPONSIBILITIES: Conducts recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt Tulsa personnel; conducts new-employee orientations Handles employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling, and exit interviewing Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of the department and services performed Serves as a primary point of contact for plant functions and assists with employee relations issues, questions, and concerns Improves manager and employee performance by facilitation conflict resolution and providing feedback and coaching to employees and leadership as appropriate Builds relationships with staff at all levels of the organization Manages disability and leave of absence processes with employees for FMLA, STD and LTD while ensuring adherence to ADA and HIPAA. Maintains, updates and ensures accuracy of information in HRIS (Infinium) Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment Completes special projects as established by clarifying project objective, setting timetables and developing and organizing information and fulfilling transactionsQUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business Administration or Minimum of 4 years of demonstrated Human Resources/employee relations experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment PHR or SHRM-CP Certification preferred Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to convey information effectively in one-on-one settings and in large group forums Demonstrated problem-solving abilities along with strong time management and prioritization skills Excellent people skills Strong organizational skills with proven ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously Must be familiar with employment law and standard HR concepts, practices and procedures, along with proven ability to apply that knowledge Intermediate proficiency in conflict resolution and project management and completion.
