The Resident Care Director is responsible for providing overall leadership and management to the team responsible for the health and well-being of the residents within the community.
Responsibilities:
⢠Effectively manage and coordinate scheduling of the Resident Care team
⢠Provide case management services to residents
⢠Interact with families and encourage family involvement with residents
⢠Assist as residents move in and out with their transition
⢠Ensure a safe working environment for associates and identify potential hazards to reduce incidences
⢠Provide clinical care through the direct application of the nursing process; perform and document resident assessments, complete Individualized Service Plans, provide or delegate hands-on clinical care as indicated by the plan of care and evaluate resident outcomes.
⢠Coordinate resident events and wellness activities
⢠Participate in sales efforts for the community to increase census
⢠Assure compliance with all Federal, State/Provincial, board of nursing and other applicable regulations.
⢠Recruit, hire and train clinical team members and is responsible for performance management, evaluation and engagement.
⢠Serve as MOD as assigned
Skills/Requirements:
⢠RN or LVN
⢠1+ years similar experience in a management role
⢠Demonstrated knowledge of applied nursing practices, techniques, and methods in accordance with federal, state/province and board of nursing requirements.
⢠Strong communication and computer skills
⢠Availability to cover additional needed shifts outside of normal business hours and rotating MOD schedule
