Looking for an experienced maintenance technician with a well rounded background. Experienced in general carpentry, plumbing, light electrical, painting/drywall and minor mechanical skills preferred.

Job Summary:

Responsible to complete any construction/remodeling for HOH or any of its subsidiaries and to complete general repair and maintenance of all HOH facilities, vehicles and operations. May be required to work independently, as part of a regular maintenance crew, or as assistant to skilled tradesmen.

Essential Job Functions:

1. Assist Maintenance Technician in the completion of any work orders submitted by HOH

2. Help with remodeling or maintenance of any work projects in progress at HOH

3. Drive to all HOH locations to complete jobs assigned

4. Assist with on the job training of new employees as necessary

Job Duties:

2. You will be expected to “do right” as a matter of routine. As a representative of Home of Hope, Inc. your conduct within the community and while traveling during business will mirror expected conduct in the workplace.

3. Maintain all building structures for Home of Hope. This shall include but is not limited to rough concrete and carpentry work, fire safety systems maintenance, plumbing, electrical work, heat and air, painting and repairing walls, repairing doors and windows, and other things as needed.

4. Operate and maintain a variety of power and hand tools of various trades in a safe manner.

5. Maintain current routine maintenance plan. This plan shall include, but is not limited to vehicles, heat/air units, lights, fire alarm systems, etc.

6. Serve in an on-call status unless other arrangements are made with the supervisor.

7. Provide feedback to Maintenance Supervisor both verbally and in written form to update status of current projects or maintenance needs.

8. Effectively maintain the operational efficiency of HOH vehicles and facilities.

9. Maintain all necessary documentation (i.e. work orders, materials billing, etc)

10. Maintain a positive working relationship with the people we support, programs, service providers, and parents and guardians.

11. Schedule appointments for vehicle, house, industry, and all HOH facility maintenance as needed.

12. Maintain confidentiality.

13. Keep employment requirements up to date. (I.e. attending classes, vaccination updates, insurance, drivers license, etc.)

14. Ensure compliance with HIPAA in all program areas.

15. Other related duties as required.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

1. Must possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License.

2. Must have dependable transportation.

3. Must have proof and maintain automobile insurance.

4. Must be able to see, speak, and hear clearly.

5. Must successfully complete all required training.

6. Must possess good communication skills. This includes basic reading, writing, and math skills.

7. Must be able to meet the physical demands associated with general maintenance responsibilities.

8. Must be able to consistently lift a minimum of 50 pounds.

9. Must be willing to travel

10. Must be willing to be on call.
