Job Description

W C Truck Repairs is responsible for maintaining & repairing a fleet of around 80 to 100 trucks. W C proudly represents and supports Northeast Waste Solutions (NeWSolutions), a locally owned refuse & recycling collection company. It is our goal to keep the largest private CNG refuse truck fleet in Oklahoma in top working condition ensuring safe & reliable service to City of Tulsa residents for NeWSolutions.

QUALIFICATIONS and REQUIREMENTS

Education: High School or equivalent

Experience: 1 year diesel mechanic

License/Certification: Class B CDL

Age: 21

Can pass drug and alcohol screening

Must have own tools thru ½

Know how to operate shop tools (i.e. power drill, power saw, other related power tools, air tools, chipping guns and scalers, impact guns, cutting torch and gas welding equipment)

Must be dependable, hardworking, and honest

Must be self-motivated and take pride in work

Must have communication, writing, & reading skills

(Preferred) Experience with Cummins Insite

FAMILIAR WITH COMPONENT REBUILDING, i.e. hydraulic pumps, power take-offs, hydraulic cylinders, differentials, etc.

PAY and BENEFITS

Full time

Up to $26.00/hour depending on skill level and experience

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties may be assigned)

Reads job orders, observes and listens to the truck in operation to determine malfunction

Diagnose/Troubleshoot various parts/components that have failed or are causing malfunctions on the equipment. (i.e. transmission, engines, drain lines, rear axles, gear boxes, hydraulic, electrical, steering systems, brake system)

Repair/Replace what is causing the problem on the truck

Rebuild miscellaneous components (i.e. hydraulic cylinders)

Service equipment (i.e. grease trucks and related equipment, change oils/fluids, tighten or loosen miscellaneous components)

Welding of components necessary for repair of equipment and or fabrication of components parts necessary for repair of equipment

Operate service truck with required CDL license. May have to make service calls to diagnose/repair disabled trucks on route

Ensure equipment is in proper working operation before returned to service

Fill out work orders describing in detail the problem, solution and parts used in the repair of the unit

Salary: $15.00 to $26.00 /hour
