NAVIS is excited to be hiring an experienced Staff Accountant in our Bend, Oregon offices!
The Staff Accountant will perform financial and accounting tasks to assist management in producing accurate and timely financial statements and reports. The Staff Accountant will be involved in many facets of the finance department and will be responsible for and serve as the main point of contact for general ledger reconciliations, and financial reporting. This position splits the accounts receivable and billing responsibility with others within the Finance department.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform accounts receivable tasks to include: review of contract terms, account setup, monthly/quarterly billing, tracking/invoicing billable hours, and collections
Assist with month-end closing procedures to ensure a timely close and accurate preparation of financial statements
Ensure general ledger accounts are accurately reconciled and free of errors
Track and maintain pre-paid amortizations and monthly accruals
Produce a variety of reports and dashboards which draw from multiple data sources using MS Excel and other accounting software
Identify cross functional issues and work with multiple departments to improve procedures, reporting, and efficiencies
Work directly with clients on inquiries and collections, ensuring that clients are meeting their contractual payment obligations in a timely and professional manner
Cash management/Banking
Manage multiple deadlines and tasks by prioritizing effectively
Other duties as assigned
POSITION LOCATION:
This position is based in our Bend, Oregon offices.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance with a minimum of three (3) years related work experience or combination of accounting education and work experience
At least three (3) years of general ledger experience in mid to large sized organizations
Intermediate Excel skills and demonstrated ability to create comprehensive reports using multiple data sources
Intermediate knowledge of GAAP and proper internal controls
Intermediate skill using accounting software; Intacct Accounting Software is preferred
