We are hiring a full-time Director of Sales and Marketing. This position develops, implements and delivers an annual sales plan, also overseeing marketing plan that maximizes profitability for the facility and delivers quality service.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

SALES

-Directs and manages all sales activities including group, leisure, catering, banquet, recreation, and reservations sales activities to maximize revenue for resort.

-Regional and local sales campaigns including but not limited to cold calling, networking and national and regional sales trips to drive top line revenue and maximize company profitability.

-Prepares, implements, and compiles data for various reports such as annual sales plan, monthly sales report, annual goals, sales and marketing budget, forecasts, etc.

-Develops rates, group ceilings, and deployment strategies through review of competitive data, demand analysis, and mix management.

-Actively participates in sales presentations, property tours, and customer meetings.

-Conducts various sales meetings such as daily business review, weekly strategic reservations, monthly revenue recap, forecast, yield management and employee.

MARKETING & PR

-Directs all advertising, public relations, and promotional activities.

-Facilitates communication and strategic initiatives with the appropriate partners.

-In line with the property branding strategy, aligns the hospitality, resort and real estate budget for maximum return on investment.

REVENUE/RESERVATIONS

-Oversee all aspects of reservations for lodging, vacation rentals, tee times, food and beverage outlets.

-Analyze revenue data and make recommendations as to revenue approach/campaigns.

-Oversee Navis and Springer Miller technology use in department.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

-Must have at least 5 years demonstrated experience with growing group sales and management of a group sales team.

-Must have at least 5 years demonstrated experience with management of resort marketing, with multi-faceted marketing outreach.

-Must have at least 5 years demonstrated experience with management of resort reservations/FIT business and management of the reservations team.

-Must have demonstrated experience with conducting data analysis.

-Must be able to demonstrate excellent problem solving skills.

-Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and Google platforms.

-Resort/Hotel sales, marketing and membership experience.

-Revenue management, yield management and forecasting experience.

-Presentation skills, direct selling and property tours that may require day travel.
