The Lodge in SistersJob DescriptionPOSITION TITLE: CULINARY ASSISTANTSUPERVISOR: CULINARY DIRECTORFLSA STATUS: Non-ExemptJob SummaryUnder the direction of the Culinary Director the Culinary Assistant is responsible for quality of servicedelivery during meal service for the Community. This position is responsible for communicating with alldining services staff and other team members in maintaining a holistic perspective of care and servicesfor each resident.Essential Duties and Responsibilities “ General management responsibilities include, but are not limitedto the following:1. Supports the development of a positive customer service culture in the dining room. Offersevaluation on the quality of service to maximize the efficiency of meal delivery while maintaininga pleasant dining experience.2. Takes beverage and food orders, delivers food, clears, cleans, sanitizes and resets tables.3. Ability to understand basic kitchen equipment and how they operate.4. Makes every expected effort to maintain customer satisfaction; Able to resolve dining challengeswith a customer before the conclusion of the meal service.5. Performs assigned side work that may include but is not limited to: doing the dishes, re-settingthe dining room, cleaning and restocking the service areas, cleaning chairs or table bases,vacuuming the floor, folding napkins, dishing salads and dressings, preparing snacks and light prepwork.6. Helps maintain a clean dining room. This includes but is not limited to all equipment, walls,tabletops and bases and chairs; Linens are changed as needed; Condiments and salt and peppershakers are kept clean.7. Conduct yourself and the business at all times so as not to distract from, or to reflect adverselyon the reputation of the Community.8. Reports to work in a safe manner and understands that potentially hazardous conditions aremanaged; Compliance with Safety Committee Standards is required.9. Previous food service or similar field experience preferred. Ability to tolerate a high level work-pace that is typical for an assisted living Community. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.Other Occupational Exposures Blood borne pathogens require the physical abilities necessary to clean a blood spill or any otherspill that may occur in this type of environment.Other Considerations and Requirements Current state required Food Handlers card and/or certification. First Aid certification as required per state State Criminal Background check.
