Full-Time Veterinary Hospital Receptionist/Client Service Representative
Veterinary Referral Center of Central Oregon provides advanced medical care in the
fields of internal medicine, dermatology, surgery, and emergency medicine. We are a
group of enthusiastic doctors who want to bring an amazing level of specialty and
emergency care to our patients. Our hospital is looking for a highly motivated,
enthusiastic individual who will enjoy learning and growing their career in the veterinary
field.
We are located in Bend Oregon and we are seeking to hire a full-time client
service representative (CSR) that will be the starting point in managing customers and
their pets journeys and serve as their guide. At the Veterinary Referral Center of Central
Oregon, we believe that teamwork, superior patient care, education, and fun are the
secrets to a wonderful career. Specific duties Include
Greeting, welcoming, and checking patients into the hospital
Ensuring the lobby is clean and comfortable for clients
Offering drinks and snacks to clients and patients as appropriate
Updating and reassuring clients on status of patient
Handling dogs and cats for owners, technicians, and/or doctors
Answering incoming phone calls. Receptionist will receive training on answering general questions and when to forward phone calls to either technicians or doctors
Schedule appointments on cloud-based medical records management system and
provide owners with basic information on what to expect for their appointment
Process and settle bills
Filling medications
Perform other administrative duties such as photocopying, faxing records, and
ordering supplies
Maintain a happy and positive attitude under stressful situations
As the first point of contact for our company the successful candidate should have a
professional attitude and appearance with excellent people skills. Candidate should
have strong computer skills and be able to learn veterinary software systems.
Candidate must have a high school degree or equivalent, proven work experience as a
receptionist or similar role, and excellent organizational skills. Prior history of working in
a medical environment is desired, but not required. The successful candidate will be
expected to be self-motivated and work toward being the best at what they do. We will
