Please note that due to the level of training required, given the extremely high medical needs of the residents at this program, staff who are full or part-time employees at this specific program will receive a $0.50/hr raise once they are successfully delegated to perform medical procedures by one of Opportunity Foundation's Registered Nurses.
The Direct Support Professional (DSP), under the direction of Program Manager or Lead is responsible for providing independence, support and personal care to medically fragile and/or behaviorally challenged adults with (ID) intellectual disabilities. The caregiver performs these supports in a Residential (group home) setting in keeping with Opportunity Foundation's philosophy of empowering adults of diverse abilities as it relates to supportive and respectful settings. The DSP is expected to continue to strive for excellence by developing skills and expertise that directly relate to this position. The DSP will be evaluated equally between their skills and conduct as they apply to the Mission, Vision and Values of the Opportunity Foundation (OFCO).
All training is provided and paid.
