The Groundskeeper II is responsible for coordinating and assisting the Landscaping Supervisor on all landscaping and snow removal operations of the property, ensuring quality standards are maintained. This position works hands-on in the field with the crew regularly and requires that the person be able to meet the physical demands of the job.
â¢ Operate vehicles and powered equipment, such as mowers, tractors, twin-axle vehicles, snow blowers, chain saws, electric clippers, sod cutters, and pruning saws.
â¢ Mow or edge lawns, using power mowers or edgers.
â¢ Shovel snow from walks, driveways, or parking lots and spread salt in those areas.
â¢ Use hand tools, such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, saws, hedge or brush trimmers, or axes.
â¢ Prune or trim trees, shrubs, or hedges, using shears, pruners, or chain saws.
â¢ Gather and remove litter from all areas of property.
â¢ Mix and spray or spread fertilizers, herbicides, or insecticides onto grass, shrubs, or trees, using hand or automatic sprayers or spreaders.
â¢ Assist in driving tractor and other vehicles as required.
â¢ Assist in managing special landscaping or planting projects as deemed necessary
â¢ Perform regular maintenance and minor repairs on the lawn care equipment and tools
â¢ Collaborate with team to make sure the grounds and the building are always properly cared for. Must be able to get along with others and work in a team environment.
â¢ Must have attention to detail and ability to communicate landscaping/irrigation issues with team leaders.
â¢ Must be self-motivated and able to organize duties to maintain the landscaped areas based on scope of work.
â¢ Other duties as assigned.
â¢ High school diploma preferred
â¢ 2+ landscaping experience preferred
â¢ Oregon Driver's License
â¢ Regular standing, walking, climbing or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
â¢ Lifting and carrying 25lbs frequently and may occasional lift or move up to 50lbs.
â¢ Ability to apply fertilizer and weed abatement chemicals.
â¢ Ability to drive a tractor and other use of equipment as required.
