THE SPRAY TECHNICIAN is responsible for all chemical applications to any property. Additionally the Spray Technician’s responsibilities include all general work activities associated to landscaping. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Working knowledge of chemical application equipment. Records all chemical applications in the chemical log book. Maintains chemical storage and mixing areas in compliance with county, state and federal regulations and is responsible for the safety and direction of chemical handlers and/or team members. Knowledgeable and proficient in the safe mechanical operation and calibration of: mechanical pressurized spray equipment hand operated spray equipment hand operated rotary and drop spreaders utility tractors Assist in maintaining a daily record log for: fertilizer and pesticide applications and rates of. Daily implementation & adherence to Springtime Landscape & Irrigation standards. Capable and proficient in. Ensure proper storage, use and labeling of all chemicals. Insures safe work environment to include compliance with OSHA guidelines and Standard Operating Procedure and proper operating usage of equipment as defined in related owner’s manual specifications. Maintain effective communication with guests and fellow team members. Does their part to ensure a safe work environment for yourself and your co-workers by following the safety rules Complete required job duties in the most efficient, productive manner .QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE> 2 Years preferred Pesticide License, Valid Oregon Drivers License Ability to compute rates, rations, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, volumes of cones, cylinders, etc. Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents. Ability to calibrate sprayers, spreaders, scientific instruments, etc. Ability to follow company policy/procedures, complying with all administrative responsibilities.
