Quality Manager in Bend, OR

Quality Manager duties:
⢠Comply with all Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)
⢠Coordinate and oversee all phases of quality assurance
⢠Manage compliance and implementation of FDA guidelines
⢠Meet monthly with production manager, department supervisors, and production personnel to review SOPs, Train, and review deviation reports
⢠Train personnel in quality control/assurance and continued improvement in this area
⢠Create new batch records
⢠Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
⢠Write SOPs, and review annually or bi-annually
⢠Manage document control: batch records, raw material specification, training documents, sanitation, maintenance, environment control, incoming and finished product test results
⢠Audit and certification management, both 3rd party and FDA.
⢠Oversee and check incoming raw ingredients to verify they match specifications and Certificate of Analysis
⢠Expedite testing process when necessary
⢠Perform sanitation inspection of production rooms
⢠Check scales for accuracy; make sure all weights are double checked; schedule maintenance for balances
⢠Manage communication with 3rd party laboratories
⢠Collect and retain samples for each product
⢠Oversee and verify batch record for accuracy as to bottles, caps, seals, labels, etc.
⢠Review and file completed batch records and specification logs
⢠Work with suppliers to ensure consistent quality in raw materials
⢠Other duties as assigned
Quality Manager Job Requirements:
⢠Bachelors of Science degree in nutrition, chemistry, biology or similar preferred
⢠10 years of experience as a Quality Manager is required
⢠Strong attention to detail
⢠Read and write Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
⢠Mathematical Computations
⢠Knowledge of statistical sampling techniques and statistical writing preferred
⢠Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
⢠Tech savvy with a strong desire to learn
⢠Excellent communication skills both oral and written
⢠Must be a team player and maintain a positive attitude, as well as work independently
⢠Ability to pay close attention, meet daily deadlines, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
⢠Must be able to work while wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
⢠Ability to lift up to 40lbs throughout the day, and stand for extended periods of time
Supervision: This position will supervise others.
Basic Working Conditions: The employee must have their own method of dependable transportation and work full time during normal business hours Monday through Friday. Overtime and work on weekends.
