Weatherization Project Specialist

Location: Bend

Compensation: $18.95/hour, Non-Exempt

Hours: Regular full-time (40 hours/week)

Benefits: 100% premium paid Medical, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance, Agency paid Retirement plan (up to 6%), almost 16 weeks of paid time total accrual during the first five years (increases after that), plus 10 paid Holidays annually and a separate sick leave accrual

Overview of Key Duties and Responsibilities:

The Weatherization Project Specialist supports the Weatherization Program. This includes but is not limited to contractor communications, scheduling, client services, complex data entry and program reporting. Additional responsibilities include managing invoices and project files, and compliance with federal, state and local regulations, grant requirements and agency policies. The position also provides support for the NeighborImpact Energy Education Workshops and provides support for the agency’s Deputy Executive Directors.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

-High school diploma or GED required. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree is preferred

-Minimum 1-year experience in a position that required planning and completing assignments to meet objectives, deadlines and targets

-Strong working knowledge of office communication - Excellent communication skills verbally, written and via phone

-Two years minimum experience with the Microsoft Office suite - Excellent spreadsheet and word processing skills required, with the aptitude to quickly learn new computer applications

-Basic understanding of office equipment including copier, fax, and scanner

-Prior to date of hire and throughout employment: valid driver’s license, proof of current auto insurance, access to reliable transportation required and a satisfactory criminal background check required

-In addition to English, ability to speak and write fluently in Spanish is preferred.

-Ability to maintain confidentially with individuals at all levels at all times

-Ability to be detail oriented - ability to maintain a high level of accuracy

-Ability to be flexible, adaptive, and positive in a constantly changing environment

-Ability to be dependable, prompt, present, adaptable and self-directed with strong organizational skills

-Ability to operate various office equipment such as fax, printer and scanner

-Ability to consistently determine workload priorities in consultation with staff

-Ability to occasionally kneel, stoop, bend and lift up to 30 pounds
