Located in beautiful Central Oregon, the mission of Heart of Oregon Corps is to empower and inspire positive change in the lives of young people through jobs, education, and stewardship. We operate “work, learn, and earn” job training programs that address the needs of low-income disconnected young adults. We train tomorrow’s workforce today.
The YOUTH RECRUITMENT AND ALUMNI ENGAGEMENT LEAD position is a full-time, one-year AmeriCorps VISTA volunteer position in Heart of Oregon Corps team in Bend, Oregon. We are seeking someone inspired by our mission of empowering positive change in young people. Interest and passion for helping youth through service is a must, but note that this position serves youth indirectly through building resources and capacity, and does not include working directly with our youth.
Interfacing with Programming, Data, and Development/Communications departments, the Youth Recruitment and Alumni Marketing Lead VISTA supports organizational capacity by enhancing recruitment strategies in order to increase the number of youth engaged in HOC programs; and also supports alumni engagement efforts. Activities will include:
Increase use of free publicity (PR) throughout Central Oregon to support recruitment efforts.
Spearhead recruitment publicity and cultivate special referral partnerships for new YouthBuild childcare career training track
Create Alumni virtual and in-person events and engagement opportunities.
Integrate use of key metrics to guide and improve recruitment and alumni efforts.
