We are hiring for a full-time Assistant Events Coordinator. In this role, you will optimize our department productivity by working directly with the Events Manager. Candidates for this role will be outgoing, hard working, detail oriented and well-versed in sales and marketing techniques. Must have a flexible schedule to work weekends and occasional evenings.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Plans and coordinates events, and to provide exceptional service and experiences to all members, guests and coworkers by planning, coordinating and communicating event details effectively, efficiently and in a timely manner.
-Work with members, guests, potential clients, departments and independently in planning, coordinating and executing all definite events.
-Properly schedule use of facilities and banquet spaces.
-Produce banquet event orders (BEO) for all events.
-Work with social or group contact, Chef and Restaurant Manager to deliver F&B needs for the guest; work with group contact.
-On day of function, greet contact and oversee execution of event until needed
-Develops and maintains files for all events including items such as contracts, banquet event orders, purchase orders, check requests, expenses, brochures, promotional material, etc.
-Seasonally, when social and group events are fewer, may be required to assist in the Operations while planning for future events.
-Tracks revenue/expenses for all events. Quotes prices and compiles all charges according to BEOs for the Accounting department.
QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience in Adobe Creative Cloud software
- Proficiency in Google and Windows office systems is preferred
- Creative copy writing skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- A high school degree required with some college training preferred or equivalent work experience
- One to two years similar experience at a Resort or Hotel Establishment
- Preferable; current Food Handler Card and OLCC License
