Plans, directs, or coordinates activities concerned with the construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems. Participates in the conceptual development of a construction project and oversees its organization, scheduling, budgeting, and implementation by performing the following duties.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

1. Confers with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, or design professionals to discuss and resolve matters, such as work procedures, complaints, or construction problems.

2. Plans, schedules, or coordinates construction project activities to meet deadlines. Prepares and submits budget estimates, progress reports, or cost tracking reports.

3. Prepares, contracts, or negotiate revisions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers, or subcontractors.

4. Confers with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.

5. Supervises Project Engineers, Project Assistants, reviews their reports, corrects, and trains on any errors. Manages the day to day operational and tactical aspects of multiple construction projects in a supervisory

role. Responsible for the professional development of directly supervised employees to ensure their growth and expand their knowledge base.

6. Investigates damage, accidents, or delays at construction sites to ensure that proper construction procedures are being followed.

7. Communicates with people outside the organization, represents the organization to customers, the public, government, and other external sources in person, by writing, telephone, or email. Develops constructive and cooperative working relationship with others, and maintains them over time.

8. Understands that all duties/responsibilities are subject to change at any time.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD/Turbo Cad, Plan Swift, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, Procore and Sage.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree (B.A. / B.S.), in Construction Management or related field, from an accredited university or college; and three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. PMP certification a plus.
