Are you looking for a job that is challenging, fulfilling, and fun? Look no further! Benco is hiring for two full time Assistant Program Coordinator positions. The Assistant Program Coordinator works 10 hours of management duties per week and 30 hours of Direct Care duties per week.

Qualifications:

The applicant must be at least 18 and have two years of college or at least 6 months experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities(I/DD). Some management experience would be preferred. The applicant must have a valid driver's license and good driving record. The applicant must be able to pass a background check.

Duties:

The Assistant Program Coordinator helps the Program Coordinator with management duties such as: scheduling, paperwork/documentation, budgeting, banking, grocery shopping and the overall operation of the adult intellectual and developmentally disabled program (I/DD).

The Assistant Program Coordinator also works directly with the residents of the program helping them with everyday life skills such as: giving medications, personal hygiene care, finances, shopping, transportation, paperwork and companionship.

The schedules below reflect the days/hours of each Assistant Program Coordinator position. The Assistant Program Coordinators schedule is a set schedule but can be changed at times by the Program Coordinator to meet the needs of the program.

The first Assistant Program Coordinators set schedule is: Monday 10a-3p, Tuesday 1p-3p, Wednesday 10a-3p, Thursday 1p-4:30p and Friday 10a-6p = 23.5 hours + 16.5 hours of management duties per week = 40 hours per week. (The hours of management duties are flexed within the weekly schedule)

The second Assistant Program Coordinators set schedule is: Monday and Friday 12:30p-8:30p, Saturday 10-2p and Sunday 12:30p-10p + 10.5 hours of management duties per week = 40 hours per week. (The hours of management duties are flexed within the weekly schedule)

Hiring Bonus, Raises and Wage:

A 3% raise is given at 6 months of employment, 1 ½ years of employment and 2 years of employment and annually thereafter until an employee reaches the cap on the wage scale. The Assistant Program Coordinator (APC) position starting wage is $12.20 hour and the scale goes to $21.39 hour. Starting wage depends on experience in the I/DD field and if the applicant has a degree. The applicant will receive a one-step (currently a 3% increase each step) increase on the wage scale for every year verified of I/DD work experience listed on the application
