The Mental Health Case Aide provide skills training and supportive services to individuals with serious and persistent mental illness as part of a care team. Services are offered in individual and group settings at multiple locations which may include a client's residence. Services are provided under the oversight of a Qualified Mental Health Professional. May provide specialty services depending upon area of assignment.

This is an unbenefited position with a schedule of 19 hours or less a week.

Essential Functions:

MFA: Skills Training

Essential Duties:

Provide specific training in the area of life skills development for clients including individual and group education and skill building (budgeting, time management, organizational skills, stress management, assertiveness, conflict resolution and vocational goals).

Coordinate care/services with the program treatment team, employers, job coaches/developers, advocates and others.

Act as a liaison as needed with other community agencies.

Participate on Assertive Community Treatment Team as needed.

MFA: Client Services

Essential Duties:

Provide input into the development of a care plan by making observations and recommendations to professional members of the team.

Research services available in the community and assist clients to identify and connect to needed services and support.

Help clients' complete paperwork to apply for assistance programs.

Monitor clients to ensure that services are appropriate.

Assist clients with daily activities.

MFA: Client Services Support and Documentation

Essential Duties:

Document all services relative to service delivery according to record keeping guidelines, includes progress notes, receipts, MARS, responding to requests from allied agencies and completing occasional miscellaneous paperwork from allied agencies, entitlement programs, etc.

Scheduling routine appointments, maintaining crisis appointments and manage a schedule sufficient to allow the timely addressing of emergent issues.

Minimum Qualifications:

Technical training beyond high school.

1 year of related work experience.

Valid Oregon Driver's License, or ability to obtain upon hire.

Bi-Lingual preferred.

Experience with medication assistance and mental health clients highly desired.

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted.
