Personal Support Worker
K.I.D.S. - Linn, Benton, Lincoln, Marion, Polk, and Lane Counties
$17 an hour - Full-time, Part-time
KIDS is a newer agency that specializes in providing supportive care to Intellectually/Developmentally Disabled individuals. We believe in honoring our team by promoting work-life balance, and a competitive living wage. We are looking for experienced, reliable Personal Support Workers (Also called Direct Support Workers) to support the clients we serve. Our Personal Support Workers start off at $17.00 per hour. By making our team a priority, we know that in turn, they will make our clients their priority.

As a Personal Support Worker, you will support the Individual Support Plan for the client, created by the clients social worker.
Position expectations vary based upon the individual clients needs as outlined in the Individual Support Plan:
Assisting with Cooking, cleaning, medication assistance, scheduling, attend medical appointments, shopping, transportation, housing, and budgeting
Supporting skill development defined in the individuals ISP
Documentation of progress notes with each shift
Qualifications and Education Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Skills
Patience and understanding with children
Experience in providing general care and support
Knowledge of home care services
Proficient in written and verbal communication
Experience in redirecting
General Mentor Qualifications: A Mentor delivering services to an individual must meet the following criteria:
Be a minimum of 18 years of age
Be legally eligible to work in the United States.
Be able to pass a background check
Honors confidentiality of each client and their family.
Experience comprehending and implementing care plans.
Effective communication with families, medical providers, and other support personnel.
Able to make calm decisions and provide support in emergency situations.
Be certified in CPR and First Aid by a recognized training agency within 90 calendar days of employment.
If transporting individuals, have a valid driver's license and vehicle insurance in compliance with the laws of the Department of Motor Vehicles. Not required.
