Searching for a hard working and compassionate veterinary assistant or certified veterinary technician to add to our team! Must be able to multitask in a fast-paced veterinary practice.
Job description summary:
- Assist doctors during exams by taking accurate patient history, and restraining animals.
- Learn the veterinary software program and make medical record entries.
- Perform receptionist/clerical work and manage multi-line phones.
- Clean and maintain hospital and surgical facilities.
- Perform lab work and fill prescriptions.
- Complete patient treatments.
In addition to the above duties, a CVT will be expected to:
- Place endotracheal tubes, induce anesthesia, and prepare patients for surgery
- Monitor anesthetized patients
- Collect blood samples for laboratory analysis
- Perform routine laboratory procedures
- Assist the veterinarian in diagnostic, medical, and surgical procedures
- Operate X-ray equipment
- Perform dental prophylaxis
Must be available to work some Saturday mornings. Our team members earn paid time off, incentive pay, annual scrub orders, and veterinary discounts. Looking for a long-term employee; this is not a seasonal job. Compensation based on experience.
