We are looking for an Assistant Manager/Maintenance Person for our 120+ unit complex to start work immediately.
Job Duties will include: Assist resident manager with residents and assist with turnover of units - painting, repairs, light plumbing and light electrical.
You must have some background in property maintenance and repair.
Assistant Manager will also be on call Friday and Saturday each week and need to lock up the rec room some nights. Sometimes Assistant Manager will cover for Resident Manager on vacation. These duties will include sales, taking/submitting applications for screening, executing rental agreements, accepting rent, making deposits, maintaining files and resident ledgers, incident reports, notices, walk-throughs and move-out reports.
It is crucial that the applicant be able to work and motivate independently and have a good work ethic.
Also Applicant Must:
1. Provide positive references with phone numbers to legitimate businesses (relevant, long standing references will be given preference)
2. Be capable of physical labor - walking up and down steps, cleaning, etc.
3. Be capable of and comfortable performing maintenance and repair work.
4. Be comfortable working on a computer.
5. Be honest, responsible/reliable and have good judgment.
6. Able to follow rules and also ensure residents' follow the rules.
7. Be capable of accuracy.
8. Be detail oriented - keep thorough resident files including recording any incidents with residents.
9. Must communicate regularly (via email or text) with owners/resident manager about status of complex.
10. Be comfortable handling residents of all ages, some are young adults living on their own for the first time.
11. Be on call 2 days per week in the evening (for emergencies only) and cover for resident manager when she is on vacation.
Compensation Includes:
$15.50/hour
About 20-30 hours per week
