Local HVAC Company looking to add a journeyman installer to our team!
This employee is responsible for the installation of HVAC equipment, accessories and parts for a complete system installation including, but not limited to; plumbing of condensate, refrigerant pipe, vents, sheet metal fabrication, rectangular duct and transitions, and offsets.
Customer-based activities require an individual possessing traits of decisiveness, initiative, tact, judgment, integrity, dependability, and the ability to communicate in a technically credible manner. Job-related contact can occur with virtually all demographic groups, with the majority of working contacts being customers, other technicians, and the Installation Manager.
Minimum Requirements:
-High School Diploma/GED
-Minimum 4 or more years of successful full-time employment in the HVAC field
-Maintain a clean driving record and current Oregon Drivers License
-Neat and clean appearance
-100% Drug Free
-Work and communicate well with others, in a professional manner, in regards to co-workers, customers, subs, general public
-Ability to work independently with minimal active/onsite supervision unto the completion of the project
-Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed
-Ability to supervise/train an apprentice
-Good oral and written communication skills
-Ability to follow written and verbal directions/instructions.
-Ability to work from plans/blueprints.
-Ability to complete all required paperwork as it relates to installation/customer
-Maintain a neat, clean and safe worksite, vehicle, tools and shop
-Ability to safely and knowledgeably operate; drills, saw, torches, sheer, brake, hand tools, lifts, ladders- any and all equipment and tools used to provide a complete system install
-Physical ability to perform all duties related to installation of HVAC equipment/systems; working on roofs, on/from ladders, in attics and crawl spaces, working in conditioned and unconditioned spaces/job sites, lift, bend, push, pull, stoop, crawl repetitively
-Ability to plan and follow a timeline for completion, work under strict time scheduling constraints/labor goals with varying customer needs/demands.
-Basic knowledge/ability to follow local and state code/law as it relates to installation of all equipment/mechanical permits
-Serving as a member of the installation department team which is organized to conduct HVAC installation jobs in an efficient and timely manner
-Ability to build sheet metal fittings, transitions, any other necessary components
Summary of Duties:
-Perform routine HVAC installation activities without direct oversight or on-site assistance, unto the completion of the job.
-Assist fellow installation technician & installation manager in training of new employees on installation related subjects, including callback prevention, safety issues, and installation
-Conducting point-of-work sales of indoor air quality services, unit components, unit replacements, add-on units, and referrals
-Conducting non-installation work in support of the service department as needed
-Performing related duties as directed.
Wage: DOE
