Non-Emergency Medical Transport

Linn/Benton Counties Full Time Position

DUTIES:

Non-emergency medical transportation throughout Linn/Benton Counties. Drive company vehicle and assist with pick-up, transport and delivery of sick, injured, or convalescent persons.

Will push people in wheelchairs.

Will move and maneuver material and equipment weighing up to 60 pounds or more, when necessary.

Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRES:

While preferred, no specific medical transport experience is necessary BUT must have a minimum of five years driving record (to demonstrate adherence to safety in motor vehicles and adherence to traffic laws and regulations) AND have positive and verifiable employment references.

18 years of age.

Valid drivers license and no disqualifying events on driving record (disqualifying events include: license suspension and any moving violation in past three years; more than two violations in past three years; more that three accidents in the past three years; more that five violations or accidents of any kind in past five years; no serious violation in the past ten years) (drive company vehicles).

First Aid and/or CPR Certifications preferred but not required.

Moderate computer skills required. Must speak and read English well enough to fulfill duties (i.e., converse with the general public, understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official questions, and be able to make legible entries on reports and records). Meet employer's dress and appearance standards (customer contact). Must be available to work various schedules. Pass pre-employment drug screen, DMV record check and criminal background check (will include finger printing).

HOURS: Full Time position available. Hours will vary (30 to 40 hours per week), expect early morning hours, irregular shifts, and occasional rare weekends.

NOTE: Employees use company vehicle and company gas card.

PAY: $10.75 - $12.00 per hour, depending on certifications, qualifications and relevant experience. Employee must meet employer dress code (job required contact with the public) Employer provides driver training, and covers tuition for required certifications, including First Aid, CPR, Patient Assist and Services training, and defensive driving.
