The Transit Program Assistant performs duties to provide administrative, outreach, and customer service support of the Corvallis Transit System and Benton County Special and Rural Transportation. Responsibilities include developing and posting operational changes, developing and maintaining web content, transcribing advisory group minutes, providing customer support, assisting with community outreach materials and events, and tracking transit program data necessary for reporting to State and federal agencies. These tasks are illustrative only and may include other related duties.
High school diploma or equivalent required. Associates degree or certificate in transportation planning, public or business administration, marketing or a related field preferred.
Three years of related work experience or education in office/business practices and procedures including database management, website maintenance, transcription, or basic accounting/bookkeeping, including development and use of spreadsheets. Experience and familiarity with public transportation is highly desired.
Possession of and the ability to maintain a valid Oregon drivers license. This position occasionally works outside regular business hours including weekends. Ability to pass a pre-employment physical exam and a background check and/or criminal history check.
