Due to unforeseen personal circumstances, we have lost an employee. We are a diversified commercial Ag operation with a dozen crops ranging from small grains to sugarbeets and clover seed. Our focus is on seed production when possible. The job description includes tractor operation to prepare and plant all crops, application of crop protection products, fertilizer, irrigation, harvest activities, and maintenance of equipment. The job will require 2700-2800 hours per year with the main focus of crop activities occurring between March and November winter months are spent in the shop doing maintenance. This position will require long hours on equipment during certain periods of the growing season. The position requires attention to detail and the ability to master current and evolving Ag technology. The ability to maintain the highest level of performance without constant supervision is a necessary skill. Position starts January 1 but we would hire the right individual today. Compensation is $17.00 to $20.00 per hour DOE with a housing allowance, paid vacation, and retirement included. We would be willing to wait till fall to fill the position for the right applicant.
