About the Program

Columbia River Ranch RTF is a mental health Residential Treatment Facility in Boardman, Oregon, with 11 treatment beds and 1 short term crisis resolution bed. .

About the Position

We have a Full-Time opening for the Assistant Administrator position. We are seeking a professional that possesses a combination of skills and credentials to assist with the daily managerial oversight of the operations of the program. There, clients who are affected by severe and persistent mental illness, receive quality crisis stabilization services in a residential setting. This is a management position requiring leadership and independent judgment skills. This role will spend 50% of their time working on the floor with staff and clients.

Work Schedule: This position will require flexibility with schedule. In addition, this position requires rotating on-call responsibilities, and will include some overtime, weekends (Sat & Sun), and NOC shifts, if there is a business need. (Exact schedule will be discussed at interview).

Assistant Administrator Role

This position will provide administrative support to the Facility Administrator by assisting in the daily managerial oversight of the operations of the residential treatment facility for individuals suffering from severely and persistently mental illness; including staff recruitment, interviewing, training, supervision, and evaluations; staff scheduling to insure adequate client supervision and support; and reviewing and verifying time sheets; maintaining up-to-date personnel, client and program records including the accounting of client and facility funds, training and activity records. Duties will also include assuring that house supplies are purchased in a timely manner, maintained in adequate supply, and stored in a safe and sanitary manner. This position will be responsible for overseeing compliance of household monthly budget, petty cash, facility accounts and associated reporting to Administrative Office and other duties assigned. Qualified applicants must have the ability to maintain effective working relationships with peers, supervisors and professionals as well as relate to residents and staff with respect and dignity. In addition, while we are an organization that does not practice seclusion or restraint, we do still require our direct care staff to successfully complete our Verbal and Physical Intervention (VPI) crisis de-escalation training, which includes performing various physical, evasion and safety maneuvers in class.

Qualifications

MUST meet State of Oregon QMHA credentials by one of our following criteria:

a) Bachelors degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or Human Development;

b) OR minimum THREE (3) YEARS verifiable mental health experience working with SPMI population in a supervised social service setting;

c) OR equivalent combination of behavioral science education in addition to satisfactory supplemental mental health experience and training

An additional TWO (2) YEARS of supervisory experience is highly preferred

Must be detail oriented with good record keeping skills

The new OARs currently in development by the OHA will include the requirement for all unlicensed QMHPs and QMHAs to obtain certification through the Mental Health & Addictions Certification Board of Oregon (MHACBO). At this time, they are offering a grandparenting window for those currently working in these roles.

QMHA Certification: Grandparenting with a Bachelors Degree:

Previously qualified QMHAs with a baccalaureate degree and 1,000 clinical experience hours (6 months of full-time work in a state approved program) can grandparent into QMHA Basic Certification (QMHA-C). Mental Health Interns qualified as QMHP operating under a variance with an agency collaborative education agreement must register as QMHAs. If you are certified as a peer or a CADC and you are designated as a QMHA, performing QMHA duties, you will need to be certified as a QMHA through MHACBO.

QMHA Certification: Grandparenting without a Bachelors Degree:

Previously qualified QMHAs without a baccalaureate degree in behavioral health sciences, and 4,000 clinical experience hours (2 full time years of work in a state approved program) can grandparent into QMHA Basic Certification.

Salary & Benefits

$3,300-$4,300 per month/DOE. This is a full-time (salary exempt) position.
