Reception/Customer Service

Environmental Testing Laboratory

Analytical Laboratory Group is an established local company serving clients in 6 + Oregon counties. We provide testing of drinking water and environmental water for homeowners, public water systems, municipalities, and industry.

This is a full-time position with required overtime. We also have a part-time position open. Work week is Monday thru Friday.

The starting salary is $13.00/ hr.

Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods of time and able to lift and carry weights up to 25 pounds, sometimes up and down stairs.

Qualifications and Experience

Ability to use Microsoft productivity software such as Excel and Word

Excellent attention to detail

Ability to accurately enter data

Strong organizational ability

Effective communication skills with fellow staff members

Ability to pleasantly and proficiently interact with clients in person and on the phone

Ability to consistently meet all deadlines

Ability to multi-task and work under pressure

Customer Service Duties

Become knowledgeable about environmental and water sampling and testing

Answer phones, transfer calls, answer questions, etc.

Greet walk in clients, determine their purpose (bringing in samples, needing bottles, needing information etc.)

Give out bottles, chains of custody, educating clients on sampling procedures,

Sample receiving (taking temperature, recording temps, times received and checking COC for completeness).

Contact clients when needed for additional information, or to inform them of problems with testing results.

Intake Duties

Accurate entry of sample information into LIMS database to create workorder

Labeling samples, marking samples for the lab,

Storing samples in appropriate location as trained

Log In review workorders entered by other Intake personnel

Other general office tasks

Maintain filing system for documents

Updating client COC’s as needed

Light cleaning and janitorial in assigned building areas.

Produce reports, forms, letters, etc. as needed

Duties include but are not limited to the tasks outlined in this document.
