We have so many wonderful people that need your assistance in the Eugene/Springfield and surrounding area. Our agency works one on one with developmentally disabled adults. Looking for quality employees, one must be able to conduct themselves with a high level of expert professionalism both in their actions as well as their case notes! We are very easy to work with yet we expect EXCELLENCE.
Candidates must be goal oriented, able to write and follow directions, must be able to meet deadlines, outgoing, dependable, flexible, have a positive demeanor and be self-motivated. This is vitally important, as the job is to assist the clients with THEIR goals and help them to live a healthy lifestyle.
We have individuals who would like to take classes or try new experiences and need someone to do it with. This is more of a advocate or mentorship relationship than care giving. This can be a dream job for the right person.
One must be able to pass a criminal background check and drive their own clean, reliable, safe car, proof of insurance is required. Immediate hires only with current criminal background check. One must have a smart phone with GPS capabilities.
You can work with just one client or full-time, you arrange your very flexible schedule with the client. We work in conjunction with you and your client with problem solving yet scheduling your hours is your responsibility. We encourage professionals in other fields who may want to work a few hours in their off times to also apply. Presently in need of people who have some weekday hours available. This can be a very rewarding job to both parties.
Duties are based on the clients individual needs so they can live independently and the life of their dreams. Most of our clients live on their own and your job is to act as a liaison between them and their communities. This may include going out in the community, attending classes, assisting client to feel safe and included in our community, shopping, budgeting, counting money, price comparisons, feeling good about their purchases, providing transportation, exercising, assisting with appointments, etc. Some clients have more needs than others. While others clients may need help to find fun things to do and encouraged to live a healthy lifestyle.
Must have current first aid, CPR, AED certificate or willing to get certifications ASAP. Current PSW/DSP workers a plus. Hours worked with us do not affect the hours cap with DHS.
Some college or military experience would be beneficial. Our clientele may also have chemical sensitivities so one would need to be able to work with this population. Also generally being able to make lemon-aid from lemons is a great attribute. We have immediate part-time and full-time openings once your criminal background check is approved. This can be a very rewarding and fun job, it is all what you make it!
We have a very diverse group of people we serve so we may have someone who is a perfect fit for you. Flexible hours. $15 an hour + mileage based on valid experience. You will need to be able to use a computer and Word to complete your invoices and case notes. We will assist you yet you will need to show some motivation on your part.
