Job Coach - Supported Employment

What You Get to Do: As a Job Coach, you'll play a crucial role in supporting individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) in their career journeys. Job Coaches provide on-site mentorship in the workplace, providing personalized one-on-one assistance tailored to each client’s needs. As a Job Coach you will be working with individuals on goals and skills to help them become not only more successful and independent at their jobs, but in their lives. What You'll Get To Do:Provide one-on-one training and education to caseload of individuals you support in their workplace; teach clients how to complete job tasks.Offer prompts, cues, and support to encourage skill development and independence.Monitor and report progress, challenges, and work performance.Help the individual set and achieve goals; assist in overcoming personal barriers.Help clients communicate with employers and co-workers in the workplace.Help develop positive social, work, and life skills.Communicate with clients to understand their interests, skills, abilities, goals, and support needs.Provide job search assistance and interview preparation if needed.Assess and develop resumes based on skills and strengths if needed.Ensure safety is always maintained in the work environment.Demonstrate positive work habits and practicesAssist with personal cares and mobility support as needed Create lasting, positive impacts on peoples’ lives through coaching, mentoring, and encouraging others to reach their employment goals.
