Attune Foods LLC, a part of 8th Avenue Food and Provisions, is proudly located in the Pacific Northwest in beautiful Eugene, Oregon.The Packaging Operator is responsible for safely operating assigned equipment for daily shift production, meeting all throughputs and waste reduction goals. The successful candidate will continually keep the work area clean, insuring product food safety and preventing product comingling. The Machine Operator will also work as part of a team proactively providing assistance to other members and adhere to company policies, procedures, GMPs, and Rules of Safety. Please apply online at http://attunecareers.com.We currently have 3rd shift, 10:15 PM to 6:45 AM, positions available.Job duties may include, but are not limited to the following:

Continually inspect raw materials and finished products to ensure that the product stream stays clean: error free, within specification, food safe and of high quality.

Run equipment to meet or exceed standard raw and packaging material scrap and production rates.

Set-up machines and changeover set-ups as required.

Communicate ANY hazards on or off the line to the lead or supervisor immediately

Replenish supplies, such as film, boxes, cartons, glue, ink or labels.

Make adjustments to the machines as permitted.

Observe operation to detect malfunctions of the machine, report problems to lead.

Ensure that reporting and tracking is complete, accurate and timely.

Keep work area clean

Other duties as assigned by Lead Operators and Supervisors

Responsible for supporting and maintaining Food Safety and Quality programs

Required Competencies & Knowledge:Knowledge of:

Current GMPs and Safety rules

Relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies for the protection of people, data, and property

Skill in:

Following instruction

Operating fast moving mechanical equipment

Basic math

Ability to:

Understand and retain instructions and knowledge

Pay attention to detail

Completing work tasks in assigned order

Learn and use computers and software

Learn to operate a pallet jack and fork lift

Focus on safety, quality, and policy

Work effectively with coworkers in a constructive and positive manner

Respect coworkers in actions and communication

Communicate effectively with the Lead Operators and other team members.

Work Environment:

Exposure to allergens, dust, noise, heat and moving machinery.

Will work in areas with fluctuating temperature extremes and areas that could be wet.

Required uniform includes hairnet and/or beard guard, and personal protective equipment including safety glasses, ear plugs, and safety shoes.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to stand and walk for an 8-hour shift

Must be able to regularly lift up to 50 pounds

Minimum Qualifications:

1+ year experience in a manufacturing production environment

Basic math and computer skills

Must be able to attend work on a regular and reliable basis; show up on time and work overtime and weekends when requested
