We are Coffee Plant Roaster located in West Eugene and recently expanded our seating and added a full kitchen. We serve breakfast and lunch seven days a week and take great pride in the food we serve. When available we use the best local and organic ingredients direct from farms and purchase from local companies such as Long's Meat Market.
We are looking for people who are passionate about their craft of cooking and have openings for full time, experienced cooks. We are looking for positive team members who are hard working, have a strong sense of time management, and are professional and reliable.
We are a small kitchen and have one to three people working at a time. We serve from 7am-4pm so the first shift starts at 6am and closing shift ends around 5pm.
Duties
Prepares a variety of meats, poultry, vegetables and other food items
Prepares items by portioning, seasoning and/or marinating
Fruit prep for cold press organic juices
Assists in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as needed
Responsibilities
Assumes 100% responsibility for quality of products served
Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen and other personnel
Knows and complies consistently with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures
Maintains a clean and sanitary work station at all times around the kitchen
Follows proper plate presentation and garnish set up for all dishes
Follows sanitation guidelines set by ODH
Handles, stores and rotates products properly
Closes the kitchen properly and follows the closing checklist for kitchen stations.
Performs other related duties as assigned by the Chef or manager-on-duty.
Qualifications
Food Handlers permit on file
A minimum of 1-2 years of related work experience in a high volume restaurant
Knowledge of basic operation of equipment
